ABOUT INNER RAFTER MINISTRIES
Inner Rafter Ministries is dedicated to providing confidential, faith-integrated counseling services specifically tailored for ministry leaders. Our mission is to support those who carry the weight of spiritual leadership through a unique blend of clinical expertise and biblical wisdom, fostering resilience and well-being in their personal and professional lives.
OUR PURPOSE
At Inner Rafter Ministries, we recognize the profound challenges that ministry leaders face. Our purpose is to create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can explore their struggles, find healing, and restore their inner strength through compassionate counseling that respects their spiritual journey.
SERVICES WE OFFER
We offer a range of specialized services including individual counseling, support for burnout and leadership stress, grief and loss therapy, and strategies for managing anxiety and depression. Our aim is to equip leaders with the tools they need to thrive both personally and in ministry.
WHO WE SERVE
Inner Rafter Ministries is designed for those serving in various capacities within the ministry, including pastors, church staff, and ministry leaders, as well as their families. We are here to provide support for those who are actively serving, preparing for ministry, or recovering from the challenges associated with leadership.
OUR CORE VALUES
We believe in a holistic approach to care.
Nothing is entirely valueless — even claiming neutrality is itself a value position. The American Psychological Association recognizes the importance of spirituality in psychological care. At the same time, we do not discard science. We value empirical research for what it does well: describing the observed world around us. However, description is not the same as prescription. Science informs; it does not ultimately define moral authority.

Integration
Discernment
Stewardship
Faith and sound clinical insight are not enemies; they work together for restoration.
We reject ideological extremes and pursue wisdom grounded in truth.
Seeking professional care is an act of responsibility, not weakness.

Confidentiality
Ministry leaders deserve a safe and protected place for care.
Sustainability
Healthy leaders build healthy churches, families, and communities.
OUR BELIEF SYSTEM
It is intellectually inconsistent to claim complete value neutrality while simultaneously promoting specific values and absolutes. Every person operates from a worldview, whether acknowledged or not.
We also recognize the danger of extremes in human behavior and cultural narratives. Ambition, for example, is often reduced to competitiveness or selfish striving. Yet ambition can also reflect stewardship, responsibility, and purposeful use of one’s unique gifts and talents.
Similarly, busyness is sometimes criticized as a badge of pride. For some, however, busyness reflects survival, caregiving for aging parents, single parenthood, or a season of necessary sacrifice that others may not fully understand. We believe in healthy boundaries and work with leaders during seasons when other tasks must be paused to address immediate stressors.
At Inner Rafter, we seek discernment over reaction, wisdom over ideology, and integration over division. Faith and sound clinical insight are not enemies — they can work together for restoration, clarity, and growth.
-
We reject the false idea that seeking professional help is unspiritual. Dr. Logan has worked with many ministry families who have suffered devastating, life-altering consequences after following well-meaning but harmful advice from elders or church leaders.
-
We also reject the opposite extreme that labels all professional care “worldly” or views intellectual development with suspicion.
